Local Adventures

In addition to annual High Adventures and monthly meetings, Crew 67 plans and enjoys ~12 Tier 1 Adventures and ~4 Tier 2 Adventures each year. The Crew also plans individual and group service activities. The annual calendar (August to July) is planned after new officers are elected each June. All Adventures are open to all Venturers (with some requiring registration in advance). Tier 1 Adventures and some Tier 2 Adventures are open to youth ages 14-20 who are considering joining the Crew.

A Youth-led Program

Venturing is a fully youth-led program. This means that 1) all members of the Crew take ownership of the program by choosing and planning their own adventures, 2) all members of the Crew are responsible for self-governance through electing officers who run meetings and manage the program, and 3) all members of the Crew gain real-world experience by organizing events, managing budgets, leading others, and serving their community. Adult advisors assist the Crew by 1) providing mentorship in planning and management skills, 2) ensuring safety in all adventures, and 3) providing support for logistics that require legal age, contractual obligations, or financial clearance.
